The light bulb plug may be obscured by other parts which may or may not need to be removed to access … it though generally this is not the case. Once the headlight is removed from the assembly, remove the halogen bulb from the connector by prying up the plastic tab and carefully pulling the bulb out of the socket. This method is much easier. The assembly pops off of the adjuster screws with a bit of a tug, then you will need to pull up on the hood section above the assembly to clear the top adjuster housing. Not sure about the answer above, but I have a 1990 1500 and it does have bulbs in plastic lenses instead of the whole square bulb assembly.
