I had a Trance X 29er 1 for those that didn't know which I tried really hard to love after my Reign died. You get 140mm of smooth, active rear travel that gives you the traction and control you need to be one with the trail. Braking surfaces may have minor grooves or discoloration. Frame geometry is designed around its 27. The Trance 3 features an effective Shimano Deore drivetrain that provides an effecient 10-speed gear range that will allow you to spin your way up the climbs. I rode the trance on a few different trails, one was fast and flowey and the trance gracefully floated in and out of turns, I thought the bike might have been all I was hoping for. . I keep it in the 140mill position unless it gets rowdy. Receiving the bike mid-November, I was also pleasantly surprised to find the standard Rock Razor tire on the back end replaced with a Hans Dampf.

The steeper 69deg head angle felt bad, even after I replaced the stem with a shorter one. YetIf you want to haul balls over flowey, unintimidating, scenic terrain, this is a good choice, for better or for worse. I may be a bit biased as I do a lot of enduro riding, ome downhill, and park.
