Did not have any issues when I first bought the car in early 2014, but it has gotten progressively worse over time. But I big issue is when driving a hour or longer it goes crazy. Please investigate the coverage before you invest in the Nav or updates. Had to wait several months for them to install a replacement. D or and many other States.
So today I just wanted to see how many towns it could not be found in the system. It will not recognize U. I managed to get the car off of the interstate. Got my phone connected to Entune thru bluetooth, went over the different apps including navigation. The manual says you can change the temperature from Celsius to Fahrenheit in settings but it is not even there as an option on mine. Totally depend on this to know if I should be in left, right or middle lanes. So, it is anybody out there who has a solution or can point me in the right direction.
Voice recognition is a nightmare and, even if you program the address in by hand, the guidance is atrocious. I plan to use both jointly when traveling. I've got a 2014 Corolla. Most occurrences happened during hot days but has occurred during in the morning when the temp. As a rule, we don¿T get headaches, so these were very obviously the result of breathing the air in these new cars. And I am still driving my 17 year old Toyota Camry. I see no way to turn off traffic.
I do have the extended warranty. I finally turned the unit off and put my iPhone 6 to use, setting it horizontally in the speedometer cluster. It will not power on again. Toyota has the nerve to charge a premium price for a worthless piece of garbage. I find this to be unacceptable.
Check your Data coverage in your Nav. They need to have a recall and fix these problems. If so, please share the details in the comments section, below. He asked what number my Entune started with. It went blank for a bit, then went to Initial Sceen Check Surroundings for safety, etc and now that screen stays on permanently.
Waiting to see what happens next…. Our main problems involve connecting our iphones over bluetooth. Ditto on a lot of the comments given by others. So far, the dealer has not been able to help. They told me it needed a new card.
Toyota seems to think that this is a rare occasion but it sounds like this is not so rare amongst highlander owners. If I knew all that, I would have not even purchased the highlandr. Should not fail in a car under 50000 miles that has always been driven with great care. Next time it might turn on fine. Unit has been replaced by dealer with new unit. The engine surging periodically is a good sign that your oxygen sensor needs to be replaced. The connectors have torn through the cheap plastic that the panels are made of and cannot be repaired without complete replacement.
With the Highlander gps, I am forced to sort addresses by the date I installed it or by icon. Sadly, 7 of those speakers are in the front of the car, and 2 of the remaining 3 in the back are tiny. This is not a part that broke or degraded from ware, this radio doesnt work and Toyota is trying to make money off of this. Who wants to pay for something that works this poorly?!?!? Loose wire or bad software update is my opinion. They keep trying new updates and none of them work. There's also several threads on it.
If water droplets, snow or mud adhere to the lens, rinse it with water and wipe with a soft cloth. Flashing blue light on cruise control knob. Toyota is aware of the problems with the Entune units and does nothing to correct them. My voice is not recognized. Also, the information bar that shows the current street name, etc. Next time the car is started everything might work fine. In every case it worked! Frustrated enough to never buy a Toyota again—even though the cars are great.
