Only a fool would believe otherwise. I went to the auto repair shop today. They pay me to fix it right. Toyota Parts Deal has you covered no matter what type of Toyota vehicle you drive. After doing my own research, I would use the Pentosin concentrate on my 1st Gen Taco.
All Genuine factory parts are backed by the manufacturer's warranty, low priced and shipped directly from Northeast Ohio! It just chaps my butt as I equate it to arrogance, I don't do well with that. Visitors don't have to sign in or register to see your list of safety data sheets. My conditions are not extreme and clean fluids trumps dirty-old fluids. Is he steering me in right direction? The main ingredients are similar but there are definite differences in the two compositions. I was seeking a refund for the 2 gals.
Not totally relevant but my old '99 Trooper is alive and well on the original trans at 211k. Both are Ethylene Glycol based. They are saying, even though Toyota Long life coolant spec says 150K, 5 years, we need to change coolant for every 50 K. Spend the extra moneyover many years instead of a big ticket all at once. This is one case where time is far more important than miles. And it helps extend the life of your water pump's seals due to its compatibility with non-metallic materials. Chris, Why the T-stat replacement? I opened an issue with Valvoline that night - got a response the next day and paraphrasing was told there should be no matter visible to the naked eye in their coolant.
I am just positive that, in the case of my transmission, had I run to a 100k the trans would need a rebuild at 150-160k. It is a difference in the metallurgy. It's a great match for our late model Toyos. My next question is if there is a plug in the engine block to do a more thorough flush? Both have the the same temperature ratings. If anyone has used this, let me know what you think. They also dislike silicates because in some tests they run, silicates form a gel that could plug passages.
I recommend simply paying the xtra bucks and using the coolant from the Toyota dealer. So if the integrity of your Toyota depends so heavily upon this liquid, then why would you buy anything but the best coolant? Our Toyota parts and accessories are expedited directly from authorized Toyota dealers strategically located all across the U. I would not mind using the Zerex Asian if i was doing the total flush but I did not want to mix the two and leave it like that long term. A little different story than the other Zerex coolant threads.
I have not found a good image of the back though to see if it contains silicates, phosphates, or has Sebacic acid as an Organic Acid Treatment. Engo 10000s winch And a bunch of other money tied up in it, I'd like to add a possible contender to the mix here. No, I think they're great, truly great fluids. And even that gel-plugging was rarely seen, unless a vehicle had been sitting unused, in which case the silicates may have dropped out. Even many people who use dex-cool purge their systems and use something else. Whatwould the extra expense be to use factory fluids to get 300k+? I just wanted to post some pictures, prices, and the ingredients of both to give further resources to those looking at their options.
The coolant mixture must contain ethylene-glycol anti-freeze. I don't think it's the only one, I think Peak Global is a 'fit' too but it's a different color. It keeps your radiator cool and prevents your engine from overheating. It contains phosphates and organic salts to protect all materials used in cooling systems for Asian vehicles. Pentofrost A1 does not contain any silicate, borate, nitrite or amine containing additives since these may harm your Asian vehicle.
I bought both but ended up returning the Zerex Asian. Pentofrost A1 is an antifreeze concentrate for Asian vehicle applications in water cooled engines. When I drain the old stuff every fall, it still looks bright pink and transparent with no sediment or rust. I didn't do in depth analysis on this but wanted to post my observations and pics for others to use as a reference when looking at the same issue. Also found that aswell that may work. I noticed that if you refill pouring straight out of the jug, you may not notice this foreign material in the coolant.
