I guess a better question is: does the app work for anyone who is rooted? Again, call and ask for an account refresh and make sure they do the account refresh for apps, too. I finally found the solution today. Kind of hard to cancel ones service when the only game in town is Comcast and they have a lock on the business, including blocking other competitors from coming into the town and providing services. I have legal access to a crapton of content. I use the same card on Roku to pay for other services without problem.
Dan, I tried your steps and wound up with the same results as anywhere else. Actually burgarian guys made the original addon. This one contains only the hungarian subscription options. You can also stream hbo using the xf stream website or app. What is the fix for this? Thanks for not being terrible Comcast! I thought I would report in detail in one place , as I read many messages before I did this. The behavior is exactly the same with both.
Rustyben -- I tried this myself with no issue. It is my work laptop so, maybe it's not setup for casting. But, I don't know what kind of contracts they have with google. Issue is resolved for me now. I'm not sure if it was this specific process, or Comcast finally did something after denying it being their log in portal issue for the last 4 months of taking on the phone. You can also turn off your modem for up to 30 seconds and then restart it.
I'm having the same issue, but the newest version of the app just crashes and gives a service error. Thats correct, comcast apps don't allow viewing on external displays, that would cost comcast more to the providers. Contacted both Roku and Google, each service claims the other has a problem anyone run into this before? Bumping to make this easier for others to find. You can also turn Airplane mode on and off again, which sometimes fixes connection issues. They said it waits for approval by google.
Since every other provider I can think of is available, I must assume that this is Comcast's decision. They should have told me that when I return the box. I have been unable to access the service since Saturday, was using it fine a few days before. Account in good standing, etc. The leaked app looked like as a basic implementation for this. I typed this exactly and was up and running in two minutes. So it won't work any more.
Problem persists in desktop Chrome, Edge, and incognito mode for both. Remember, both services require a high-speed Internet connection. There is also a very quick redirect before reaching xfinity. You can also turn your mobile device off and back on, too. If I had to guess possible causes, it seems that there's a new Comcast account management interface that will appear for a few seconds before the old interface shows up. The faster that connection is, the better your streaming experience will likely be. Maybe you are having sign-in issues or not allowing you to open your app version on your mobile device, but whatever the reason simply share your location and your troubles to the community.
I don't know what might have changed. The company is hungarian who makes these developments for the europian market as I know. But it has been disabled after few weeks. Need to find another provider. Then the level 2 tech gave me a phone number that didn't work. I don't understand why it's not supported.
This is not a funcional application in the video, but an interactive design presentation dummy. After that I was able to sign in. It looks like he is a contractor and probably not working on that project anymore. Other apps Netflix, YouTube work fine, I have to restart the device after each video to watch another. I selected under the chrome settings to request the desktop version. If so it must be something those of us who are having problems did, in which case a factory reset might be in order.
Shame on all of us for giving them our business!! I don't know how widespread users with defunct addresses are, but given that other users are experiencing this problem, I doubt this cause. How did you solve it? So whether you're looking for a new show to binge watch or just want to pick up where you left off, you get what you want, when you want it. I wished more tech support people knew the problem or know where to look. Thanks for not being terrible Comcast! Comcast has said they are moving on different platforms in the near future. Thats correct, comcast apps don't allow viewing on external displays, that would cost comcast more to the providers. This is an anti-consumer practice that I would like to end as soon as possible. You can also stream hbo using the xf stream website or app.
